Many are waiting eagerly to hear of what is to come of Alabama Medieval Fantasy Festival, especially with states easing many of the restrictions on gatherings. Alabama remains more restricted, at least until mid-May, and the weather is heating up. That may be good news for killing COVID-19, but not for those in armor or multiple layers of garb
We have researched and soul-searched and come to the unwelcome conclusion that the 2020 Alabama Medieval Fantasy Festival is not to be. We cannot in good conscience endanger our visitors, volunteers, cast, or vendors. All tickets and vendor fees will be honored at ALMFF 2021.
The good news is that we will continue the Yule celebration as well as the King's Yule Feast. This year the Kingdom of Dragon Croft will be open for shopping on two days - December 5 & 6. The King's Feast will take place on the evening of December 5.
As in previous years, entry to the Kingdom to partake of shopping is free. Merchants who were registered to vend at ALMFF in 2020 may vend at Yule with no fee. Merchants who were not registered for ALMFF 2020 are welcome but must pay a $50 fee ($25/day). Feast tickets are $35 per person.
We share the disappointment at the bitter news about ALMFF 2020. We most sincerely look forward to welcoming one and all for Yule in December and of course next March for ALMFF 2021!
